There is nothing better than holding onto a book you know is going to be amazing and it being it. But not only that, holding it and laughing so HONKINGLY and obnoxiously loud because it’s just so funny.

From the second I heard Tanya Hennessy was writing a kid’s book, I knew I needed it in my life. I’ve followed Tanya on YouTube for years now, and adore her non-fiction books as they are so uniquely her.

This novel? Is also very uniquely Tanya.

One of the best parts is that an adult like me can enjoy it, knowing of Tanya’s funny and exciting videos, but kids will get to experience this person in an entirely new way. Because Tanya is nothing if not hilarious in everything she creates.

Stevie Louise really shines through this entire book, and her character leaps off the page at you, sings, dances, and has fun in front of you, along with her crew™.

Friendships are a massive part of why I love books, and the friendships written in this book were a true delight to read. The ups, the downs, and everything in between made my heart sing with pure joy. Especially when it rings true to a new person coming into your life and friendship circle.

The illustrations in this book were so perfectly fitting as well. They truly enhanced the reading experience, and were an incredible addition. I can’t get over just how amazingly this was all put together.

If you have younger readers in your life, or are someone like me who has enjoyed Tanya’s past works before, I highly recommend this fun filled, laugh out loud until it hurts, book.
